Naga New year festival 2011 will be held in Lahe which is one of the township centers of the Naga region in northwestern Burma. Last year, the festival was held in Nanyun and thousands of Nagas people from different clans and dialect groups attended the festival. This is the biggest festival among the Nagas that showcase their amazing culture and traditional heritage not only to the guests from outside of the Naga community, but also a culturally flourishing to their new generation as well. This year, reportedly said that there would be some Naga delegation representing the Naga community in India side attending the upcoming new year festival in Lahe Town. It is expected thousands of people from both local and non-local community will be attending this year festival. The festival falls on January 15 every year. There are six major Naga tribes among Nagas which include Khemyungan Naga, Lainong Naga, Para Naga, Makuri Naga, Tangkhul Naga, and Tangshang Naga, all predominantly living in Burma.
